Hampshire based The Bossard Quartet were booked for a Christmassy wedding at Skylarks Golf & Country Club, for the wedding of Stephanie and Natalie
Just after Christmas we were booked for the wedding of Stephanie and Natalie at Skylark Golf & Country Club. The couple had booked us to play for the wedding ceremony in the barn beside the golf club, and then further music for the drinks reception in the bar overlooking the hilly golf-course.
We enjoyed playing Pachelbel’s Canon in G for the bridal entrance, and the barn was particularly well suited to allow both ladies to enter the ceremony room at the same time on either side, accompanied by their bridesmaids and fathers.
The wedding was taken by a celebrant, and the couple signed a certificate, during which period we played Delibes’ Flower Duet. As the couple exited the ceremony room we played Bruno Mars’ Marry You. Very apt!
We then moved across into the bar at the golf club, where there was a staged area for us to set up on. We enjoyed coffees from the bar and then played as the guests enjoyed a champagne reception before their meal.
