Tournerbury Woods

On Saturday, Amy, Anna, Ruth & Sophie headed down into Tournerbury Woods on Hayling Island. We played at the wedding celebrations of Maya and Christopher. Tournerbury Woods is a beautiful and unusual wedding reception and event venue, set in private 50 acres wooded grounds. The venue has direct water access to Chichester Habour and The Solent.

Maya and Christopher were enjoying a multi-cultural event that celebrated the joining of two cultures, British and Indian. Across from the white event marquee was a fantastically colourful Indian themed tent, which hosted the afternoon’s ceremony.

We arrived and set up underneath a tree in the shade. We were ready to play The Wedding March (Mendelssohn) and Pachelbel’s Canon for the second entrance of the Bride and Groom. They got changed into traditional British Wedding Wear after the Indian Celebrations from earlier in the day.

We then entertained with a variety of classical, popular and Bollywood tunes. We enjoyed the sunshine and the relaxed atmosphere at this wedding. Guests were lounging around and conserving energy before the evening’s festivities.

We took the Selfie-Stick out on today’s wedding to give us the best opportunity to get all four of us involved in the same picture!

After the event we were really chuffed to receive a lovely ‘thank you’ card

Maya and Christopher said, ‘We wanted to express our deepest appreciation for the wonderful music you provided at our special day. You helped us create some beautiful, life-long memories and for this we will always be grateful.’

We have the best job!!#
