As a local string quartet, we have spent many wonderful afternoons at Skylark, providing the soundtrack for everything from romantic wedding ceremonies to their popular themed afternoon teas.

One of our favourite ways to experience Skylark is during their themed events. We have had the pleasure of performing for several Bridgerton-themed Afternoon Teas in the dining room and barn.

There is something quite special about the contrast of a string quartet playing modern pop hits—arranged in that signature Regency style—while guests enjoy tiers of delicate sandwiches and scones. If you are looking for that "classical-meets-contemporary" vibe, our repertoire of songs by artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Harry Styles fits the Skylark atmosphere perfectly. It’s sophisticated, fun, and always a huge talking point for guests.

Saying "I Do" in the Skylark Barn

For weddings, the Skylark Barn is a spectacular choice. The exposed timber beams and neutral decor provide a beautiful blank canvas for your styling.

A string quartet is the perfect acoustic match for the barn. The natural resonance of the wood makes our violins, viola, and cello sound incredibly rich and warm. After the ceremony, the terrace overlooking the golf course is the place to be. With the expansive Hampshire sky as your backdrop, it is a fantastic spot for a drinks reception.
