The English Heritage invited us to play for two evenings in the grounds of Osborne House as part of their summer season of concerts.
We did two evening concerts in the grounds of the amazing Osborne House on the Isle of Wight recently. We were happy to pop over to the island on the Red Funnel with our instruments and cases and drive across to the venue. We enjoyed a cup of tea and a chat on the way over and the way back on the ferry. A great way to travel!
We were fortunate with the weather on those evenings, and guests were entertained a mixture of classical and pop music while they enjoyed their picnics. It was like a mini-version of Proms in the Park – although we didn’t indulge in Jerusalem or Pomp and Circumstance at the end we are sad to say!
A massive thanks to the English Heritage Trust for inviting us to play in their fantastic venue, Osborne House.
