We were delighted to play at the wedding of Tracey and William at Esseborne Manor Hotel on Saturday. Esseborne Manor Hotel is a Victorian Country Hotel set in the Bourne Valley, North Hampshire. We’d not played there before, so it’s always nice to scope out different venues. The house itself has been a hotel now for over 100 years, but was previously a private home.
We were booked for the ceremony and drinks reception, and we set up early so we were ready for the arrival of the guests. It felt like an early start for us as the wedding ceremony began at 12pm, so we were booked from 11.30am. We are finding more and more couples are having slightly later ceremonies, so this was quite an early beginning for us!
We played Arrival of the Queen of Sheba as Tracey walked down the aisle. In the signing of the register, we played Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of The Flowers, Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, and Pachelbel’s Canon in G. It was nice to have some good classical requests to play.
For the exit of the newly wedded Mr and Mrs, we played Delibes’ Flower Duet.
We then moved to play for the drinks reception, and entertained with a selection of our popular repertoire, which classics such as Take That’s Rule The World, Keane’s Somewhere Only You Know, Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely, Bryan Adams’ Everything I Do (Debs’ Favourite!).
Thank you for booking us Tracey and William, and best wishes for a long happy married life together! xxx
