On Saturday we were back at the Old Thorns Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort for the wedding of Hannah and Karl. Just off the A3 near Liphook, we have played here many times before. We started off proceedings with coffees at the Starbucks attached.Â
Ruth, Amy, Anna and Sophie. Starbucks nearly got all four names right!
We arrived and set up in the Hampshire Suite. It’s quite a tight squeeze but we managed to fit in alongside the room with some subtle moving of some screen dividers. We played Mendlessohn’s Wedding March for Hannah’s entrance, and then in the signing we performed McFly’s It’s All About You, and for the exit, The Beach Boys’ God Only Knows.
Hannah and Karl had some lovely touches for their wedding day. A cool sweetie cart with vintage sweets. Some great flowers, and a lovely guestbook.
Afterwards, there was time for Amy to have an obligatory photo with a golf buggy.
Amy also brought her camera and took some nice photos of the venue and us prepping for the ceremony.

Why did you choose your wedding venue?: Because it’s a glamourous venue and it had everything we were looking for with beautiful surroundings.
At what point did you realise you wanted a string quartet?: I’ve always imagined I’d have one and think it’s very romantic.
