The Manor Barn of Buriton

********UPDATE 2016 – THIS WEDDING VENUE IS NO LONGER OPEN FOR BUSINESS

On Saturday we visited The Manor Barn of Buriton. Buriton is a quintessentially English village in Hampshire, very near to Petersfield. There is a village pond, a beautiful church, a nice pub or two, and right next door to the church a gorgeous Manor House and Barn.

The Barn itself stands within the courtyard of a rustic brick and stone Grade II listed manor house. Inside, it is gorgeously renovated to a high standard.

We have played at the Manor Barn of Buriton several times over the last 18 months or so. It is proving to be a very popular wedding venue, and we can certainly see why!

We were booked to play at the Patten Wedding. The couple had their ceremony in the barn itself, and we provided music throughout the ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon, and during the signing of the register we played Elton John’s Your Song, and The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love.

For the exit of the newly married Mr & Mrs Patten, we played a special arrangement of Rudimental’s Feel The Love . This was a customised arrangement of a song that clearly had some meaning to this lovely couple. We love requests like this, it stretches our repertoire into new, unchartered territory. Rudimental is not something we would have thought of arranging, but we are pleased to see it is being requested for some weddings next year too.

Once the bride & groom had exited the ceremony room, we and all the guests moved outside to the courtyard. The couple were very lucky with the weather and everyone was comfortable outside in the October sun. We continued providing music while the guests enjoyed drinks and canapes. We played a big selection of tunes!
