Rownhams House

On Saturday, Anna, Amy, Ruth & Sophie played at the wedding of Mr and Mrs Jackman at the delightful Rownhams House. Read all about the day, meeting the friendly owners and having a video done of us.

We had not played at Rownhams House before, and we were surprised to find this placed nestled just off junction 3 of the M27, hidden away in a housing estate. What a lovely surprise to drive up the driveway and stumble upon this beautiful house and gardens!

This was an outdoor ceremony, and the weather held out just perfectly for the bride and groom to say their vows in the gardens of Rownhams House. We have done a lot more outdoor wedding ceremonies this year and so far, none have been rained on during the vows!

The String Quartet Repertoire

We played our special new arrangement of Kings Of Leon, Use Somebody, while the bride walked down the aisle. And then during the signing of the register we enjoyed playing The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony, and as the bride and groom exited, we played Signed, Sealed, Delivered (oh yeah!)

This is Amy and Anna relaxing during our break while the group photos were being done.

Our String Quartet Video

We were really pleased to have a chat with the videographers from The Red Red who kindly put together a snippet of our playing for us. They’d videoed the whole day, big respect to them.
