Stanwell House, Lymington

We had a lovely time playing at Lucy and Scott’s wedding at Stanwell House in Lymington recently. We really enjoyed playing for their intimate ceremony out in the garden. Stanwell House is right on the high street in Lymington.

It was a busy sunny Saturday in Lymington in the New Forest. We all arrived into Lymington really early as there were known road closures on the M27 which we had prepared for.

What we were not prepared for, however, was the lack of parking in Lymington. We drove around for a good 20 minutes or so searching for parking, and in the end, we parked slightly illegally in an undisclosed location.

We stopped for a coffee next door at Costa and then made our way to the venue. We set up and enjoyed the sunshine. We played a number of lovely requests as the guests came out into the garden for the ceremony.

Lucy walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon in G. In the signing of the register we played Sigur Ros’ Hoppipolla and also Delibes’ Flower Duet. The couple exited the garden to The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love.

We then moved into a different part of the garden and set up to accompany the drinks reception. We played through lots of music and it was a lovely day.

Many congratulations to you both!
